Founded in January 2019, Doxie By Proxy Rescue, Inc. grew from a passion for dachshunds and rescue work.

With over 50 years of combined experience, our team rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dachshunds and mixes across North Carolina. As a foster-based, community-focused organization, we prioritize local adoptions and provide ongoing support to adopters. We also counsel owners considering surrender to help keep pets in loving homes.

Doxie By Proxy Rescue is a virtual based rescue that utilizes foster homes in Central North Carolina & is 100% volunteer.

They do not have a shelter or physical location.
